Bringing Communion to Those in Hospitals and Homes

Eucharistic Ministers of Pastoral Care

To someone homebound, in a nursing home, or hospitalized and unable to come to church, receiving the Eucharist and maintaining connections with the parish community bring consolation. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are trained in compassionate pastoral care by others who are experienced in doing just that. This corporal work of mercy is a very rewarding ministry of our Church. Most serve once or twice each month, as they are available. The need is always present. Contact information for each area of ministry is provided below.

Here, J.P. Childers, on of our Eucharistic Ministers to Carle Hospital, is stopping by the parish to pick up the pyx, the container in which the ministers transport the consecrated hosts to the people in the hospital, nursing homes, or personal family homes.
